WELCOME TO BIG TALK
HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF WE ARE UNDEFEATABLE

We Are Undefeatable wants to inspire and support more people with long-term health conditions to become physically active. A long-term health condition is considered a physical or mental health condition lasting 12 months or more, that affects your ability to do daily activities.

We’re gathering ideas from the public and professionals on the resources and support that are most needed. This will shape what we provide in future and how we work with national and local partners.

We want to hear from you if:

  • you live with a health condition,
  • you care for someone who does, or
  • you have a professional interest in this area – you may work in health or social care, in a charity or voluntary organisation, in the sports and physical activity sector or in a local or national government role.

The consultation should take 10-15 minutes to complete, but some people may spend longer. It’s being carried out by DJS Research under the Market Research Society Code of Conduct. To view DJS’ privacy policy, please click here.

The consultation will be live from 4th-30th September 2023.

FAQs

1. Who can take part?

The consultation is open to anyone in the UK who has a long-term health condition, cares for someone who has a long-term health condition, or has a professional interest in this area.

By long-term conditions we mean physical or mental health conditions lasting 12 months or more that affect people’s ability to do daily activities, such as arthritis, back pain, diabetes, cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, dementia, stroke, heart conditions, asthma and lung conditions.

Those with a professional interest may work in health or social care, in a charity or voluntary organisation, in the sports and physical activity sector or in a local or national government role.

2. I can’t complete the questions online - what other ways are there to take part?

You could ask a friend, family member, carer or support worker to complete the online questions on your behalf, but if this is not possible there are some alternative ways to take part:

  • Answering the questions over the phone
  • Downloading a copy of the questions and returning them by email

To arrange a phone call or find out how to download the questions, please contact WAUBigTalk@djsresearch.com

3. I’m having technical problems accessing the questions

Please contact WAUBigTalk@djsresearch.com and we will do our best to resolve any issues.

4. Is it anonymous?

Your responses will be analysed with those of other respondents and will not be attributed to you personally. Towards the end of the consultation questions there is an opportunity to provide your contact details if you’d like to be informed of the findings or take part in follow-up research. These questions are optional, and any contact details shared will be used only for those specific purposes.

This consultation is being carried out by DJS under the Market Research Society Code of Conduct, a set of ethical and professional standards for market research, insight and data practice. To view DJS’ privacy policy, please click here.

5. What happens when the consultation closes and how will you use my input?

The consultation will remain open from 4th to 30th September 2023. Following this, DJS will analyse the answers and ideas provided by participants and a report will be produced to summarise the insights. We Are Undefeatable will use these insights alongside other sources to inform its strategy and to share anonymised learnings with partners. This will influence the resources and support We Are Undefeatable and partners provide in future.

A version of the report will be made publicly available on the We Are Undefeatable Supporters Hub in 2024. Within the consultation questions there is an opportunity to provide your contact details if you’d like to receive the report by email.
